President Bola Tinubu has approved a series of cabinet reshuffles and ministry redeployments within the Nigerian government. The changes were announced by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, and take immediate effect.
Engr. Abubakar Momoh has been redeployed from the Federal Ministry of Youth to the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Development. The Federal Ministry of Youth is set to be re-assigned to a Minister-Designate in the near future.
Furthermore, reshuffling has occurred among Ministers-Designate in the Federal Ministries of Transportation, Interior, and Marine & Blue Economy:
– H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola has been redeployed as the Honourable Minister of Marine & Blue Economy.
– Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo has been redeployed as the Honourable Minister of Interior.
– Hon. Sa’idu Alkali has been redeployed as the Honourable Minister of Transportation.
Additionally, changes have been made in the Oil & Gas sector, with both Ministers of State now placed in the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources:
– Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri is now the Hon. Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources.
– Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo is now the Hon. Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources.
Lastly, the Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management has been renamed as the Federal Ministry of Environment.
These changes aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Nigerian government’s operations and strategic priorities.
