Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has offered advice to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). According to Ayodele, Kanu lacks the power to actualize the Biafra Republic or cause division in Nigeria.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele stated that the members of IPOB are voicing their concerns due to marginalization, an issue that he believes can be resolved amicably. He called on President Tinubu to show mercy to the embattled IPOB leader.
Ayodele further emphasized that the division of Nigeria, as prophesied by God, will occur peacefully and without bloodshed when the appointed time comes. According to his statement, Kanu and IPOB’s agitation will only result in noise, as they lack the capacity to cause a division in the country.
