Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez, has dismissed the transfer rumours linking the Blancos to Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
The Spanish businessman rejected claims that Los Blancos would be interested in signing Norwegian striker, Erling Haaland, and France forward, Kylian Mbappe in 2024 in a question and answer session with Cadena Ser’s El Larguero following the Ballon d’Or ceremony on Monday.
The reigning LaLiga champions were linked with Mbappe during the previous summer transfer window, but the Frenchman made a U-turn, signing a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2025.
Pérez responded to a question about Haaland’s alleged release clause by saying:
“I have no idea. We already have the best players.”
“honestly. We have the st players in the world at Real Madrid,” he added.
However, He praised Manchester City for taking home the Ballon d’Or gala’s Club of the Year award.
“If you consider it, congratulate them. They have a great president, a great coach, and a lot of good players. It is true that they are a great club. I know a lot of people there and I think they are also worthy of that award. There are no buts to it,”
Answering questions on Mbappe, he said, “It’s not that it bores me — I don’t even read about it now,”
“You don’t know what can happen in the future, but the forwards at Real Madrid are progressing at a spectacular rate, year by year,” continued Perez.`
“Rodrygo and Vinicius are two great players, young, they have their lives in front of them to prosper. Madrid is only focused on the players that we have. And we love them.” said the president.
