Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and Majesty, Eze Chukwuemeka Eri of Aguleri, paid a visit to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the State Security Service (SSS) headquarters in Abuja. Nnamdi Kanu’s counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, also joined them in the visit.
Sharing photos from the visit on his Twitter page, Ifeanyi Ejiofor provided an update on the meeting with Nnamdi Kanu. During the visit, fruitful and productive discussions were held exclusively with Kanu. He reaffirmed his firm and unequivocal condemnation of the senseless sit-at-home enforced in the South-East by enemies of the people.
The visit by Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and Eze Chukwuemeka Eri is considered unprecedented and significant as it allowed them to convey crucial messages from Kanu to the public. While the specific details of these messages were not disclosed, Ejiofor assured that they would be made public at the appropriate time.
Kanu’s counsel expressed optimism and reassurance that the trying period of Kanu’s detention would soon become history, as they believe that divine providence will lead them to a resolution. The visit demonstrated support for Kanu and his cause, emphasizing the ongoing engagement between key figures and the detained IPOB leader.
