In a recent turn of events, social media influencer Priscilla Ojo has taken to Instagram to respond strongly to legal threats made by singer Naira Marley against her mother, actress Iyabo Ojo. Naira Marley, whose real name is Azeez Adeshina Fashola, initiated legal action accusing Iyabo Ojo of disseminating false and defamatory content on her Instagram account.
The legal move comes in response to a September 2023 post where Naira Marley’s lawyer, Olalekan Ojo, outlined accusations made by Iyabo Ojo. The post alleged that Naira Marley engaged in both spiritual and physical dealings with the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
Priscilla Ojo, however, did not mince words in her Instagram stories, questioning Naira Marley’s audacity to threaten her mother. She brought attention to ongoing legal matters involving Naira Marley, emphasizing the accusations made against him, including issues related to the boys’ catalogue and unpaid royalties.
In her response, Priscilla wrote, “The audacity!!! You want to sue? Sue who LMAOOOOO clowns. The cases you have in court for the boys’ catalogue and unpaid royalties have you finished that one? You want to sue who? When they’re legit videos and evidence of you and your gang steady bullying that young man before he died? Dey play.”
She went on to defend her mother’s actions, highlighting Iyabo Ojo’s commitment to seeking justice. Priscilla pointed out instances where Iyabo Ojo supported causes such as the DJ Splash hospital bills and treatment, as well as advocating for a rape victim and a young man allegedly bullied by his record label.
Priscilla also addressed the controversial DNA test request made by someone she referred to as a “protein shake charcoal body builder,” questioning the narrative shift and expressing disbelief that people fell for it.
In conclusion, Priscilla asserted, “He might not be alive to fight for himself, but I know that his spirit cannot be asleep.” The social media influencer defended her mother against what she perceived as unjust criticism, emphasizing Iyabo Ojo’s dedication to standing up for justice, even at the risk of personal safety and career.
