Joseph Ambakederimo, the Convener of the South South Reawakening Group (SSRG) and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Community Development Committees of Niger Delta Oil and Gas Producing Areas, has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to President Bola Tinubu for his strategic decision in appointing a new board for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The SSRG and the Community Development Committees of Niger Delta Oil and Gas Producing Areas have commended President Tinubu for his visionary choices and particularly for reappointing Dr. Samuel Ogbuku as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the NDDC.
In their statement, Ambakederimo highlighted Dr. Ogbuku’s remarkable competence, extensive experience, and unwavering integrity demonstrated during his first tenure as the MD/CEO of the NDDC. The SSRG praised the collaborative efforts led by Dr. Ogbuku, which resulted in the successful implementation of various projects across the Niger Delta region, including infrastructure, environmental initiatives, educational institutions, medical facilities, power generation plants, water distribution systems, agricultural programs, skill development centers, and youth empowerment projects.
The statement further acknowledged the commitment of the NDDC under Dr. Ogbuku’s leadership to transparency, accountability, and international best practices in project management, procurement, auditing, and reporting.
