A 26-year-old woman named Jennifer Dan was found dead at a hotel in Ikotun, Lagos, and her suspected killer, a 30-year-old man named Wale Samuel, has been apprehended by the police. The incident occurred after the woman had checked into the hotel with Samuel at approximately 8:00 a.m.
Samuel has confessed to the crime, but he has not provided a motive for the killing. Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect would soon be charged in court.
Hundeyin said, “On September 11, 2023, at about 11 a.m., one Solomon reported at the Ikotun Division that at about 8:00 a.m., the same day, Dan, one of his lodgers, was found to have been killed in her hotel room by a 30-year-old man seen last with her.”
A team of detectives was dispatched to the scene, where they discovered the deceased with her stomach pierced by a pair of scissors. Her body was removed from the premises, and the suspect was arrested at his hiding place in the Ikotun area.
